For Hotwheels' limited edition Road Trippin' line, I helped take package designs from concept to final. Each package was designed to embody the unique personality of a scenic US highway. I worked on the whole line, but was primarily responsible for the final art on these two packages.
Each package began with a mood board to nail down the right look and feel, and to ensure each design would be different enough from the rest of the line. This design featured glowing unidentified light against a clear desert at night.
This was the final black and white concept, having gone through several revisions until the composition hit the mark.
The final package artwork, incorporating the mood board and concept into a spooky nighttime close encounter.
